We’ve been talking a lot about self-tanning lately, but do you know the two biggest factors toward a successful self-tan?⁠

💦 HYDRATION⁠
🧽 EXFOLIATION⁠

You must exfoliate beforehand! Either with a dry brush or a scrub in the shower. And then to maintain your tan, you have to keep that skin hydrated!! ⁠
⁠
In the spirit of body exfoliating, I thought we could chat about body scrubs I’ve been experimenting with over the past year! My top three are…⁠

1️⃣ Frank Body Coffee Scrub⁠
⁠
PRO: Leaves your body feeling so soft, but SO hydrated too.⁠
CON: Super messy and difficult application.⁠
⁠
⁠
2️⃣ Cocokind Scrubbing Clay⁠
⁠
PRO: Has probiotics to support a healthy skin microbiome!⁠
CON: It’s less gritty so it doesn’t “feel” as exfoliating if that makes sense.⁠
⁠
⁠
3️⃣ Lux Unfiltered Exfoliating Body Polish⁠
⁠
PRO: Super dense exfoliant using sugar makes your skin SO soft.⁠
CON: Scent is a little strong.⁠
⁠
⁠
If I had to pick one of these going forward, I’d probably go with the Frank Body or the Lux Unfiltered, but honestly the Frank Body is so messy that even though I love the results, I’m more likely to reach for the Lux Unfiltered. ⁠

Don’t kill yourself with a grueling workout to “make up” for whatever you did or didn’t do over the weekend. If you want to stretch it out with a quick yoga routine, dance your heart out to your favorite song, or go out for a 20 minute walk…do it! Just move.⁠

2️⃣ Make yourself a fun, afternoon pick-me-up drink.⁠
⁠
Brew up a latte sprinkled with cinnamon or make yourself a spiced chai tea. Pour it in your favorite mug and take a few minutes away from the computer screen to enjoy it. It’ll make the rest of the day go by much faster!⁠

3️⃣ Put on a face mask at the end of the day.⁠
⁠
Self-care doesn’t have to be a weekend treat! Step back from the Monday grind and lather on your favorite face mask at the end of the day. We promise you’ll feel 1000x better, and your skin will thank you for the extra love!⁠

I ended up with stretch marks all over my hips, butt and thighs literally in the last week of pregnancy and more popped up right after Ryder was born. And while I’m proud of my body and what it did (and is still doing) for our little guy, I also would rather not have the marks and scars tbh 😅⁠

So I’m experimenting with vitamin E, scrubs, and more to help the skin turnover and lessen the appearance of them.⁠

And I know these things are hard to treat…but it left me wondering, have you had any successes in diminishing the look of marks and scars?⁠

Ryder is here to share his one holy grail skincare product with you! @tubbytodd All Over Ointment is, quite frankly, the bomb. ⁠

I purchased a full kit of Tubby Todd stuff before Ryder was even born and I had no idea how important this AOO would be to be (and him).⁠
⁠
From around 3-6 weeks old, Ryder had baby acne and the pediatrician said to just do nothing for it and it would go away in a couple months…being the skincare fanatic I am, I started doing research and everyone swore by the Tubby Todd All Over Ointment for just about everything…baby acne, eczema, rashes, etc., etc.⁠

Good news was - I already had it on hand! So I started applying it to his face every other night (after a bath) and within about a week, his baby acne was nearly gone. ��Now? We still use it after a bath but now we put it all over his body! It’s ultra hydrating and keeps his skin that delicious baby soft.⁠
